Stuff We Like: Film Impact

We try to keep our subscription stack lean and mean.  There’s a temptation to sign up for every clever app or service that pops up, and nobody can afford to give in to that.  However, Film Impact has earned its way into our workflow.  Their transitions and effects cannot be beat.  They’re clean, subtle and super high quality.  If you can think it, Film Impact probably has a way to transition to that thought.

Their license model makes sense and is friendly for both teams and for individual users, which we love.  Film Impact has become indispensable for the Pivot Video style of dynamic storytelling.  They also have animations, blurs and distortions and the library keeps growing, so it stays fresh.  The Film Impact plug-in for Premiere Pro lets you merge the transitions into the editing process, smoothly.  The transitions are truly beautiful, and this gives us a palette of options to turn raw footage into meaningful stories.
